Sensei Krystle DeLuca began training in 1989 as the youngest student permitted in class. She quickly proved that her age was no match for her physical and mental strength, as six months later she was on stage as a part of a 5 Man winning sparring team along side her brother Sensei Nicholas DeLuca     and Teammate Sensei Chris Schroeder, at the Empire State Chaptionships National Karate Tournament. Sensei Krystle continued to set records, becoming the youngest and still is the youngest student to earn her Black Belt in 1996.

Sensei Krystle’s natural determination combined with the values and skills attained through years of Martial Arts brought her success outside of the Dojo as well. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice one year early and quickly earned a spot in the New York City Police Academy. The same self discipline acquired through training helped her graduate in the top 10% of her academy.

She was then called by the Nassau County Police Department to join them and she made top honors and graduated in the top 10% of her academy again.

Sensei Krystle continues to enjoy training with her family and teammates. When she is not protecting people as a Police Officer, she is in the Dojo as a Martial Arts Instructor, helping children and adults learn the skills, awareness and confidence to protect themselves. We are very excited to have Sensei Krystle teaching with us here at the school.
